Three bottles of emblematic premium daily red from the brands of Domaine Montrose & Olivier Coste. A total of five red wine varieties in the three bottles, including two varietal wines and one blend. You can taste the legacy wine making from Southern France.

Since 1701, in the Languedoc region of Southern France, our family has cared for the vineyards of Montrose with passion. To carry on this legacy we are committed to biodiversity, preservation and sustainable development.

This fruit-forward wine comes from low-yield vines, which produce grapes with depth and concentration. It's the ideal partner for Mediterranean cuisine.

Bernard and Olivier Coste - winemakers

VINTAGE: 2018

APPELLATION: IGP Cotes de Thongue

SOILS: volcanic, calcareous-clay and siliceous-clay gravel

GRAPES: 35% grenache, 35% syrah, 30% cabernet sauvignon

ALCOHOL: 13.5%

WINEMAKING: Each grape variety and each terroir are vinified separately. Short maceration (one week) at low temperature (22°C, 71°F) for syrah and grenache. Long maceration (three weeks) at higher temperature (29°C, 84°F) for cabernet-sauvignon with pumping over and punching down the cap (pigeage) to obtain more structure. Wines from the different terroirs and grape varieties are blended after winter and then aged in concrete tanks. Wine is bottled during Spring.

TASTING NOTES: garnet red color. Nose of red fruit, blackcurrant and cocoa. The mouth is crunchy and round.

SERVING: Enjoy it slightly chilled on its own, or with grilled meat, pastas or cheeses

A rare 100% Mourvèdre by Olivier Coste.

"This wine comes from a small appellation that we love, but 100% Mourvèdre is illegal there. To allow you to discover it, we had to declassify it to "Vin de France.“ Et voilà! Now you can taste this wine full of fruit, spice and character."

--  Olivier Coste

VINTAGE: . 2019

ORIGIN: great red wine terroir but illegal to talk about it.

GRAPES:  100% Mourvèdre

SOILS:  illegal to talk about it

ALCOHOL:  13%

VINIFICATION: Grapes are destemmed before a 3-week maceration, with temperature control and regular pump overs to enhance the aromatic expression. Bottling takes place late winter to preserve freshness as well.

TASTING: Let the wine breathe for 10-20 minutes before drinking. Dark ruby red, a very clean wine. The nose of blueberry, violet, smoke, rose. Fresh, spicy but not spiky. Smooth on the throat. Layers of minerality in the mouth. Mourvedre can be "dangerous", thanks to the vigneron for making this wine 13%.  A pleasant red wine for leisure that goes well with snack bites or your daily meal.

Carignan Noir is one the great Mediterranean grapes. Today it may not be widely known. In old times, it was a Star in the Languedoc.

To capture the essence, yields are limited by growing vines on stony soil with traditional gobelet pruning. It gives rich dark fruit and spice notes with ample freshness.
