WINEMAKING: Grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness. They are destemmed before a short skin contact or direct pressing. Fermentation temperature is maintained between 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F) to retain fruit aromas. Wines resulting from the different terroirs and grapes are blended after fermentation and then aged in stainless steel vats. It is bottled during winter and spring. Domaine Montrose is a pioneer of rosé winemaking in the Languedoc. It has become a benchmark for rosé wines in the region and beyond.
TASTING: Light and bright color. The bouquet reveals red berries and citrus flavors. Elegant wine with a nice freshness.
SERVING: Enjoy it chilled on its own or with raw vegetables, salads, charcuterie or grilled fish. Better to enjoy when it's chilled to ice-cold (put it into the freezer for 10-15 minutes before drink)

HVE3 CERTIFICATION AND CARBON NEUTRAL: Domaine Montrose is certified HVE 3, "Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3", the highest level of France's High Environmental Value Certification. It's a result of the vineyard's efforts towards virtuous agriculture: planting 2000 trees to preserve biodiversity, planting vineyard ground cover, mechanical soil work, pheromone dispensers, and etc. To limit the impact on the planet, the winery has reduced their CO2 emissions to a minimum in addition to tree planting. The winery also offset the balance of CO2 emission by financing ecological initiatives.
