Château des Adouzes is situated in the medieval village of Roquessels in the heart of AOP Faugères. The appellation is exclusively composed of schists, one of the most prized terroirs in the world.
Le Tigre rosé is a fruity wine with notes of white flowers and the characteristic minerality from schist terroirs.
APPELLATION: AOP Faugères.
SOILS: schist hillsides at 300m (1000 ft) altitude.
GRAPES: 90% grenache, 10% mourvèdre.
ALCOHOL: 12.5%
WINEMAKING: mechanical harvest at night to prevent oxydation. Grapes are destemmed before a direct press. The juice is then cold clarified before 6 months ageing on the lees.
TASTING NOTES: pale pink color. A fresh and fruity wine, with notes of red currant, spices and white flowers.
SERVING: Drink within 2 years. Enjoy it by itself as an apéritif, with a tomato basil olive oil salad or a dessert such as honey-roasted nectarines.
We've been looking forward to a rosé with the flavour of Mourvedre. Here you go a special one from the schist terroir.
